Beginning Knitting
With Pam
Saturday, March 16, April 6, 20 and 27 9-11 am $45
1st Class: Discussion of yarns, yarn weight. Learn the basics of knitting, slip knot, cast on, knit stitch, bind off, how to manage yarn while knitting.
2nd Class: Learn the purl stitch, joining yarn, bind off increases, decreases and discussion of importance of getting gauge. Preparation to start first project and selection of yarn.
3rd Class: Cover anything missed in first 2 classes, ribbing, reading patterns and assistance with work on project.
4th Class: Continue work on projects.
Materials needed: The Knitters Companion, 1 skein worsted weight yarn (for practice) and size 8 needles

Tech Night is an evening of knitting and help with our favorite technical apps – knitCompanion and Ravelry.

- Have a pattern you need help setting up in knitCompanion?
- Wondering what’s all the fuss about Ravelry?
Who should attend?
Anyone interested in learning about knitCompanion or Ravelry.
No iPad to use for knitCompanion, no worries. You can still come join us. Who knows – you may get knitCompanion fever!

$10/ per session for crochet–a–long or help
$15 for beginning crochet
Come learn to crochet! Experienced crocheters can work with us on the Church Mouse Vintage Crocheted Throw & Afghan.
If you’re interested in the crochet-a-long, pick up the pattern and materials at the shop and join in the fun.
Knit Doctor
Need help with a project? Cables got you confused? Lace got you lethargic? Just generally at odds with your knitting? Stop in for a session with Cathy, she’ll be on duty to assist.
